Meeting, Judge's Talk, and Reception
Please join ArtWorks on Saturday, March 15th for a member’s meeting and talk by Professor Carlyle D. Johnson, judge of this year’s Member’s Only exhibition. The talk will be immediately followed by an artist’s reception and awards presentation.
Saturday, March 15th at the Downing Museum:
- 2:00 p.m. Members meeting and Judge's talk

Carlyle D. Johnson received his degrees from The Ohio State University in Studio Art and African- African American Art history. Mr. Johnson served as Coordinator of the printmaking department at Ohio State for 5 years and Chair of the Department of Art at Middle Tennessee State University for 13 years. In addition, he has participated in more than 60 art exhibitions, coordinated numerous grants concerning African-American issues, and served on a number of commissioned committees in Ohio, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Annual Meeting and Presentation
The ArtWorks annual meeting was on October 23, 5:30 p.m. at the State Street Presbyterian Church downtown.
During this meeting we voted on a new slate of officers and board directors.

PRESENTATION: HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH YOUR ART LIKE A PRO.
MEMBERS: Please join us October 24, 2023, 5:30 p.m. at the Downing Museum, 4801 Morgantown Road, Bowling Green, KY. Cheree will provide members with tips from a professional photographer's point of view on the best way to photograph your art.

Members will also be voting in the new officers and board directors for the November 1, 2023-October 31, 2024 fiscal year.

Amanda is a master on the potter’s wheel, throwing all our sculpted pieces by hand one by one. Daniel has been hard at work creating some stunning new laser-engraved medallion designs. We create each design as a vector graphic, then engrave custom dies for embossing into our mugs and yarn bowls.
