Myra Dwyer Young Artist Grant Program

The Myra Dwyer Young Artist Grant is awarded annually to area art  teachers to support and encourage the creativity and artistic expression  of South Central Kentucky’s art students. We hope this resource  contributes to the meaningful pursuit and development of young artists.

About the Grant

Artworks, Inc is committed to empowering visual artists through exhibition, educational, and professional opportunities by establishing the Myra Dwyer Young Artist Grant. A portion of Artworks, Inc's membership dues is set aside to provide the yearly grants to a public K-12 school art teacher or recognized community non-profit art organization to fulfill this mission. Additional contributions come from local individuals committed to the visual arts including donations in honor of Myra Dwyer.

Eligibility

All public K-12 school art teachers and recognized community non-profit art organizations in the city and county districts in Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson and Warren are eligible to apply for up to one of five $250.00 in grant monies.

Grant Recipients

Grant recipients must provide evidence of how the grant was used to Artworks, Inc by the end of the school year.

  • Title of the project(s) created from grant funding.
