For the second time, members of ArtWorks, Inc. will be able to participate with the World's Greatest Studio Tour at The Kentucky Museum.
To participate in the second floor art space, or first floor class room, artists must be a member of ArtWorks, Inc. & WGST. If you're already an ArtWorks' member, scroll down and fill out the WGST form and pay your $15 WGST membership dues. If you're already a WGST member, and want to become an ArtWorks member, go to the HOME page and click on JOIN ARTWORKS. The first 16 ArtWorks/WGST members are guaranteed a space and table.
This is an excellent opportunity. If you don't have a home studio, live too far out, or would just like to join other ArtWorks/WGST members and sell your work, this is a great indoor space.
There will be an organizational meeting on July 17, 6-8 p.m. at the museum. Drinks will be provided and potluck (optional). This is a chance to tour the space.
Saturday - November 2 - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday - November 3 - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Dues: $15.00/year
Additional fees: 10% of all sales income due to WGST by December 1, 2024. This covers WGST expenses and advertising. No fee required to the KY Museum, but donations are always welcomed.
August 1, 2024 - Limit 16 Artists
November 1, 2024 - 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and November 2 - 8:00 -10:00 a.m.
The artists will be given a 10'x10' space in The Kentucky Museum in the new 2nd floor community gallery, or on the first floor classroom and spaces. Artists will be responsible for providing their own table covering, display items, i.e. easels, stands, etc. The museum staff and ArtWorks’ representatives will prearrange tables and assign artists to their designated space. Dollies will be available to help move your art from your vehicle to your assigned space.
If you're an artist who wants to show how you create your art, the Kentucky Museum will have a special place for artists to set up and demonstrate. Please indicate clearly what you will be demonstrating in the 'Description of Work' field below. The Kentucky Museum reserves the right to accept/decline artist demonstrators. There is room for 6 artists to demonstrate. Artists who are accepted to demonstrate will be notified by October 1, 2024.
All sales will be made directly to the artists. Artists will be responsible for how to accept their payments - cash (remember, have change on hand), credit cards, Venmo, Square, etc. There are a few plugins along the walls for recharging devices.
Artists must be physically present at all times to sell work. Bring your sack lunch! Remove all work on Sunday, November 3 between 4:45 - 5:00 p.m. NO EARLY BREAKDOWNS.
Participating artists agree to hold harmless ArtWorks, Inc., WGST, The Kentucky Museum, and its staff/employees for any loss, theft, or damage that may occur while the artwork is on display. Participating artists agree to grant permission to ArtWorks, WGST, and the KY Museum to photograph or video artwork.
This is a fine arts and craftsman sale, bring your own original artwork. Bring your best!
